Get leads for your business, or find the perfect provider

Finding a constant flow of leads for your business is the one thing no one would say no to, we always want more clients; on the other hand, when needing someone to come and do repairs at your house, be it a plumber or electrician, maybe you want some new service, like finding DSTV installers, or you need an accountant... how would you know which providers are good or right for the job?

Bread and Butter

On the website, www.breadandbutter.co.za solving this has just become so much easier; a lead exchange for small businesses. There is two options available, you can sign up to only be a client (adding your leads - this is free) and find providers to work with, or sign up to be a provider (selling your service or product - fixed monthly fee), and you will be put in touch with the relevant parties. A really great place to keep it central and all providers are rated by the members that they have worked with, so you get a clear indication of how good they are by reading about the experience other clients had with this provider and the rating they gave.

For providers this means you will get a constant flow of leads, by subscribing to the areas you operate in (to get leads from those areas) and the relevant categories (a vast list) that fit your skill or service type.

Visit the website, www.breadandbutter.co.za, and check out the frequently asked questions to find out more.

Booking manager gone live!

Kastim Booking, our booking system for salons and boutiques successfully completed it's free month trial at a client and they are extremely happy with everything it offers! We are working on even more new features for it, but are now ready to go live with this product and will soon start seeing many more clients to offer them this product.

The product has grown quite a bit, and we have extended it for sms reminders to be sent to clients and bar code scanners to select stock when adding stock to a booking, check out the features. Kastim Booking comes with a built-in stock management system, agent management (with days off reflected on the calendar), and also does extensive reporting on sales you've made, the agents working for you, booking types and stock levels. Anyone that is interested in this product, even to sell it, has the opportunity to earn passive income as we have a commission structure in place for the first year's rental fee from the client. So feel free to contact us.

Attending the 501® Live Unbuttoned launch

pack.jpgLast night we attended the launch for the new 501®.

We were greeted with some cocktails and entertained by many different video montage's of how this brand evolved over the years. On the Levi's® website you can view the new campaign, which shows some outdoor ads and TV commercials.

Visit the advertising section directly from here and look for the 501® Live Unbuttoned Campaign.

Snacks and drinks were also served all night and it was great to see and meet everyone involved in the brand from SA. One of the nice things was the good bag when you left :)

So now you will see most of us wearing the new 501® as we were spoiled to a voucher for a fresh pair!

Soon you will be able to browse Levi's® products

The latest project for Levi's® is almost complete. The site will allow everyone to view products available for the upcoming season and browse their ranges by gender, category and sub category or just by collection.

Currently the construction page is still there, but we are roughly a week away from going live.

We are back in Cape Town

After a great visit to Turkey we are back in Cape Town. We travelled via Dubai and I can say, it is not fun. You have an 8 hour stop-over there and yes you do get seriously bored. The airport is not great, you can shop and eat a serious amount, which leaves you either with a headache from all the money you spent or a stomach ache from all the food you ate :)

The trip in Turkey was great, we met some great people and made some really good connections. A future trip is definitely on the cards and we look forward to having more dealings with the companies there. For now it's back to getting some projects completed and I'm happy to say that all of them remain on schedule. We will post some updates to these closer to their launch dates, so check back soon...

Our meeting with Deltawebsistem
deltawebsistem.gifOur second meeting was with a company called Deltawebsistem. We presented the Kastim Framework and shown all the advantages of it. The benefit of using the framework was clear very early on and we could discuss further details on how a partnership will be possible. We looked at their work with Ajax frameworks and the system they have developed. Our companies will benefit from a partnership and we will be able to support each other to develop big systems and work on many projects together. We are looking to our follow-up meeting next to discuss a partnership in further detail.
Our meeting with Holographus

holographus_logo.jpgOur first meeting in Turkey went really well. We met with Holographus, a design and development company, about future opportunities for system development, web design and flash development. We showcased some of our systems we developed and the flash development we have done for many clients.

A topic that made us feel right at home with Holographus was that both of our companies approach the market in a similar manner and the way we run our companies. This allowed us to see the immediate potential and opportunities between both companies and the areas we can definitely compliment each other. We are looking forward to a great relationship between our two companies.

Levi Strauss & Co - Brand, Loop and Red For Life

Our latest projects for Levi's® has been deployed into there staging environments and we are really happy with the progress. Soon we will be able to make these sites live to the world, which will be closer to the end of June.

Currently we are working on finishes all the little detail and making sure that the experience for everyone will be a great experience and that the Levi's® brand is carried across exactly as they intend. We have been working really hard on these projects to make the deadlines and so far everything is going as planned.

Stay tuned for more information on go live dates.

Google maps integration

Google maps is a great way to add events, businesses and properties onto a map. We are currently working on building an integrated module that can allow different "pins" be placed on the map according to the location you click on and then complete the details for that spot. Having lots of fun playing with the Google Maps API ...

You can filter the items to be displayed on the map in many ways, we have added drop downs and radio buttons:

map1_.jpg

When adding a new item, you can click anywhere on the map and a pin is placed in the area, with a balloon displaying the coordinates which will be saved for your new item:

Visiting Turkey ....

Turkey-flag.jpgRecently we have made contact with two companies in Turkey that is interested in seeing what Kastim is all about, so we heading out there to test the water. We will be spending two weeks in Izmir, Turkey, presenting our services and solutions and who knows, we might just start widening our service delivery.

izmir.jpgAt the same time, we will visit the country side and being the opposite season there, the weather should be warmer there than in Cape Town, so the sun and warmer water will be much appreciated.

Levi's® Loop rebuild underway
loop.JPGWe have started a new project rebuilding the Levi's® Loop website. This project has some great elements, from integrating to a 3rd party system using MembershipProviders glued onto a webservice. This has given us a good look in how to customize the .net membershipprovider to use it with external user management systems.

The Levi's® Loop program gives you:
  • Limited edition sales & merchandise
  • Exclusive competitions & discounts
  • VIP status at parties & music events

Love or Hate
Love or HateWe are hard at work, developing a free website, LoveOrHate, where you can post any item and state if you "Love" or "Hate" it. You will be able to give your reason for your choice and everyone can then go and rate it. It will be a great way to see what people think of a product. Our categories will include Animals, People, Companies, Movies, Products, Services and some more as we think of them.
Levi Strauss & Co - Product linebook
Levi StraussLevi Strauss & Co approached us to develop a product for them that allows customers to see all the products available for an upcoming season and also be able to create their own line book (product range they are interested in ordering).

We developed a system that allows the customer to browse available products and then add the products they are interested in to their "My Assortment" list and generate a pdf document which is downloaded and can be printed. A dynamic line book for customers was a first for Levi's® in Africa, possibly world-wide.

The deadline was extremely tight and some very very long hours was clocked to get it all ready in time to be used for generating the line book to go to print.
